CARE. TRUST. CLARITY.
We are 100% Australian owned and operated, with our purpose built laboratory located in Brisbane, Queensland. Unlike many of our competitors, we are not a side arm for a larger company whose focus is on something else. This is all we do. We are completely dedicated to you.
Each of our Scientists has at least 10 years experience in forensic and human identification sciences. Our Customer Service Team is made up of our Scientists, so you’ll be speaking directly with the person who is actually performing your test. Who better to easily explain the complex nature of DNA testing and assist you with deciding upon which test best suits your situation?
Identilab offers a range of services in human identification. Establishing parentage is just one option. We also provide a variety of extended relationship (kinship) tests to determine whether two or more people are genetically related, such as siblings, cousins, and grandparents/grandchildren. We further offer DNA profiling of individuals for purposes such as estate planning, as a precaution for future identification of those in high risk professions, or even just for general interest. We examine 23 areas of DNA, making our testing the most accurate in Australia.
The laboratory holds ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA), which describes the requirements that a laboratory must meet in order to generate valid results. This means you can be assured that you are receiving accurate and reliable results. NATA accreditation is a requirement for DNA results that are to be used for legal purposes, such as for the Family Court or for submission to a Government department such as Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Given our background in forensic sciences, we are dedicated to the principles of professional conduct. We treat all clients with respect, honesty, equality and integrity. We understand that ordering a DNA test can often be a sensitive and distressing experience, and will guide you through every step of the process to help reduce any anxiety you may be feeling. Should you require it, we are able to refer you to a network of counselling professionals for further support and guidance.
Please don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 114 294 (AEST 9am – 5pm), or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to have a chat about your situation. And don’t worry, there is no such thing as a silly question!
