Identilab is proud to be the exclusive provider of DNA testing services for Families Through Surrogacy (FTS), an advocacy group bringing together intended parents, surrogates, and experts.
Surrogacy may be the only option for some couples, and FTS’ mission is “To develop a global community of well-informed intended parents through surrogacy who have confidence in the decisions they make.” Parents and surrogates can gain a wealth of information at the upcoming seminar series running from 10-17 February across Australia and New Zealand. Each seminar includes panel discussions made up of parents, donors and surrogates, as well as presentations by experts from Australia and overseas.
The program of speakers at each seminar can be viewed by clicking on the below image.
For those intended parents undertaking international surrogacy in Georgia, Russia or Ukraine, it is important to be aware that your baby or babies will be born stateless and that you will need to apply for Australian citizenship by descent. In order to prove a biological relationship, Home Affairs will request that you undergo DNA testing. Identilab is highly experienced in providing DNA evidence to citizenship applicants in these situations.
“We found the service at Identilab to be highly professional, very prompt and also personal. They showed the highest level of care and were proactive in getting our case to move quickly and smoothly. A big special thanks to Kate in particular for being so warm, caring and helpful way beyond any of our expectations. It was a total pleasure dealing with Kate and her team at Identilab and we cannot recommend them highly enough!” M and R, Intended Parents through Georgia
As the exclusive provider of DNA testing services for FTS we offer special pricing for our surrogacy families. We don’t charge extra fees for expedited processing like some labs do and we report all overseas surrogacy cases within 2 business days of receiving the samples. In what is such an overwhelming experience, we aim to ensure that the DNA testing process is not an additional strain for you.
